GSIS Scholarship 2026-2027: Application, Requirements, Benefits and Deadline Open Now to Apply

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) announced the beginning of its scholarship application for the academic year 2026-2027.

Through GSSP, GSIS assists worthy students in completing their studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics sectors by providing educational support. You may be eligible for a ₱15,000 annual Subsidy

Who can Apply ?

Qualified GSIS members can apply for one kid if they:

  • Those who have regular, active GSIS member with Permanent Employment Status
  • Must have salary grade 15 and below, or comparable.
  • Must have an updated GSIS Premium Contribution.
  • have not Already recommended another child for the scholarship program.
  • PTD Pensioners must be less than 60 years old at the time of application.
  • PWD, IP, and Solo parents are eligible to apply for the GSIS Scholarship

What are the Requirements?

To apply for the GSIS Scholarship program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a Senior high school graduate
  • You must be an incoming first-time college freshman.
  • Must be admitted into any 4- or 5-year GSIS identified STEM courses.
  • Must be enrolled in a competent university, college, SUC, LCU, COE, or COD.
  • In Senior High School, Students must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 90% and no failing marks.

Scholarship Benefits

GSSP grant recipients will receive:

  • ₱15,000 financial aid per school year.

Incentive to Latin Honour Graduates

GSSP grantees who graduate with Latin honors will receive the following benefits:

  • Summa Cum Laude: ₱50,000
  • Magna Cum Laude: ₱30,000
  • Cum Laude ₱20,000

Note: The Subsidy is released depending on the school’s academic term system and continues for the permitted duration of the student’s degree program.

Documentary Requirements

To apply for the GSIS STEM Scholarship Program, provide the following documents:

  • Applications Form
  • Original or certified true copy of the Philippine Statistics Authority-issued birth certificate
  • Certificate of Employment, Service record of the Member, or Disability claim approval for PTD Pensioners
  • Certified True copy of SHS report card with at least 90% GWA and no failing grades.
  • Certification from the college or university that the child has been accepted or enrolled, stating the courses, duration, and level of the year.
  • For PWD, IP, and SP applicants and/or PWD Children endorsement from the head agency/office or their designated official attesting to the veracity of the claim that the applicant belongs to the aforementioned sectors; and a valid PWD ID.

Application Period

  • The Application will be open June 30, 2026.
  • The deadline or last date of the application form is August 31, 2026
