The GBF – Gokongwei Brothers Foundation Scholarship Is now open for AY 2024-2025, All eligible and aspiring students are welcome to apply for Scholarship program.

The TeachSTEM Scholarship is mainly aimed at supporting individuals who wish to pursue a career in teaching science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) Subjects.

These scholarships are offered by various organizations, universities and government programs to encourage highly skilled individuals to join the teaching professions.

What is Gokongwei Brothers Foundation?

The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) is one of the largest organizations in the Philippines, establish in 1992 by the Gokongwei family. It’s mission is to contribute to the development of the nation by empowering individuals through education.

GBF Focuses on initiatives that promote quality education, particularly in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), with the goal of building a strong, skilled, and competitive Filipino Workforce.

Types of Scholarship Programs under Gokongwei Brothers:

Gokongwei Brothers Foundation Scholarship program offering two types of scholarships are given below:

1. TeachSTEM College Scholarship and
2. TeachSTEM Master’s Scholarship.

TeachSTEM College Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements to apply TeachSTEM Scholarship Program

Following are the list of Eligibility Requirements to apply TeachSTEM Scholarship:

• They must have at least 1 year of Teaching Experience and currently teaching.
  • In a Public or a Private schools.
  • They must be intent to teach as a K-12 Public School.
  • Teaching of Science, Math or any STEM related courses.
• Must be in a model of teaching excellence.
• They must be an incoming 1st year or 2nd year student in a Master’s degree program in education specializing:
  • in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Alternative learning system and Tech-voc training or special education.
• They must have a GWA – General Weighted Average of at least 2.0 or it’s equivalent from the Previously enrolled academic year.
• They must a Good Moral Standing.
• Must be in Need of Financial Support.
• They must not have any other Scholarship Program.

Documentary Requirements to apply

Here are the list of Documentary Requirements to apply TeachSTEM Scholarship Program:

• Fully Accomplished Online Application Form
• Proof of Enrollment
• Certified true copy of Grades from AY 2023-2024 or
• College Transcript of records (For 1st Year Master’s Students)
• Scanned Copy of PRC ID (Licensed Professional Teacher)
• Proof of Residence.

Benefits of TeachSTEM scholarship Program

Following are the list of Benefits given to the qualified applicants:

• Financial Grant of:
  • State University PHP65,000 Per Year.
  • Private University PHP85,000 Per Year.
• Scholarship grant are sent directly to their Bank account.
• The Financial Grants may be used for educational expenses like tuition, Books, supplies, living Expenses and conduct of research.

Priority Courses

Here are the list of Priority Courses:

• Master of Arts – Master of Science with areas of Concentration as:
  • Science
  • (General Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
• Mathematics
• Library & Information Science – Data Science
• Technology and Home Management
• Technical Vocational (with Science and Technology Inclination)
