OWWA Scholarship 2025 to 2026 Application and Requirements

OWWA Scholarship 2025 to 2026 is now open to apply for all eligible Filipino Grade 12 Students, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration has made an announcement of Scholarship open on Facebook.

Application is now open to apply, EDSP – Education For Development Scholarship Program and ODSP – Dependent Scholarship Program.

What is EDSP Scholarship Program?

Educational for Development Scholarship (EDSP) Provide Qualified Dependents of active OWWA members who are intend to Pursue a 4 to 5 years of Baccalaureate Course, in any Colleges or Universities. with the Education assistance of PHP60,000 per school Year until complete the Course.

There are 2 types of Scholarship Program under EDSP – Education For Development Scholarship Program:

  • EDSP 1: New incoming first-year college students
  • EDSP 2: 2nd to 5th year college students

How much is OWWA Scholarship

The Educational Assistance of PHP60,000 per School Year.

What are the General Qualifications?

The Child of an Active OWWA Member or Sibling of a single or a Married but
The Childless active OWWA Member.

Incoming 1st year College

  1. Single
  2. Not more than 21 years old
  3. Grade 12 graduating student
  4. GWA of 80% or its equivalent

2nd to 5th Year College

  1. Single
  2. Not more than 30 years old
  3. With GWA not lower than 85% or its equivalent
  4. Must have no failing grades
  5. Must be enrolled in a Philippine-based college/university.

He or She must submit the Grades 9,10 and 11 in any of the following official document forms:

  1. Form 137,
  2. Form 138, or
  3. Transcript of Records

  • 2ร—2 ID pictures
  • Copy of OFW Passport I.D.
  • Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR)
  • OFW Declaration of no Child Dependent (For Married OFW but childless)
  • Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA),
  • NSO or City/Municipal Registry Office

Who can apply for OWWA Scholarship Program?

  1. Deserving Migrant Workers (active OFWs) who are not more than 45 years old
  2. Children of active or inactive OFWs who are below 21 years old
  3. GWA of 80% without failing grades or within 20% of graduating class for children of OFW and no failing grades
  4. If OFW: Annual Family gross income of $2,400.00 or P76,000.00
  5. The Alternative Learning System passers under the Continuing Education Program โ€“ Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) with an average of at least 85%or its equivalent as certified the DepEd Accredited Schools.

ODSP – Dependent Scholarship Program

The ODSP Scholarship Program is now open to apply for all the eligible Filipino Students. it is a scholarship grant given to the qualified dependents or a sibling of a single active OWWA Member.

OWWA Member of OFWs who receive a monthly salary of US$1000.00 or below, shall enroll in this program. you can enroll in any 4 to 5 years baccalaureate courses in any college or university.

Benefits under ODSP

  • Will receive a financial assistance of PHP10,000 Per semester or PHP20,000 per academic year. Shall be cover their tuition and other academic expenses.

Documentary Requirements

  • Valid OFW Passport Copy
  • Applicant School ID or other valid ID
  • Birth Certificate or Baptismal
  • Proof of annual income
    • pay slip, Employment certificate, proof of OFW income.

Requirements to Apply ODSP

  • Must be single while applying
  • Must be a child or sibling of an OFW active member.
  • Must have good GWA of 80% without any failing grades or within 20% of graduating class for children of OFW.
  • Applicant must not be more than 21 years of old for incoming 1st year college and not more than 30 years of old for 2nd to 5th year college program.
  • Applicant must enroll in a Philippine-Based College or University.

  • The Application period is from July 16, 2025 to July 31, 2025.
